Great Bartender
We happened upon Menjo's a few days ago. We met Jay the bartender.What a nice guy and good looking, too! It was around 4 pm. and I haven't been there in twenty years. I wanted to show my friend around and everything wasn't opened yet. Jay turn on the light and pointed out recent changes to us. Jay is very friendly and seemed very happy to make sure that we had a good time.
Awesome Thursdays
Half of the crowd are college kids andnhalf are energetic post-collegiate adults. All are dancing the night away! This club rivals L.A. dance clubs on Thursdays. No attitude too. I'm not from MI but this place is as welcoming as you can get in the midwest. Like Chicago. Unlike the nasty Minnesotans, these folks are genuinely nice. If Im ever in Detroit again, I'll try it on other days. 5 stars on Thursdays. There was a so-so drag show but I dont care much for those so it was good that it was only 2 songs.
