There will be Happy Hour Specials for a jolly ol' time! Have some embarrassing holiday clothing? We are having an Ugly Holiday Apparel Contest! Enter to win cash prizes! We only ask for a simple donation to enter the contest: warm clothes (coats, gloves, scarves or hats) for kids as well as tolitires, sizes youth small to adult XL and/or a $5 donation. Donations go to the Hazel Park Advantage Alternative School and Ruth Ellis Center for LGBT Teens ~~Hazel Park Advantage is an alternative school for students from kindergarten through 9th grade. They deal with at-risk kids who may not have access to everyday accommodations, such as warm, winter clothes. This fundraiser is to collect as many warm clothes for these kids as we can. They need coats, gloves, scarves and hats in a variety of sizes from youth small to adult XL. ~~The Ruth Ellis Center, is a youth social services agency that serves the needs of runaway, homeless and at-risk youth. We are one of the nation’s leading experts on vulnerable youth who are experiencing residential instability. The mission of the Center is to “provide short and long-term residential safe space and support services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender, and questioning youth.” The REC is the only organization in the country that has a Residential program for LGBTQ youth in the foster care and juvenile justice system, and is mission specific to LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness.
