BIOS:
Atom Heart & Tobias Freund, Non Standard Productions-
Atom™ and Tobias play live shows together since 1991. From the very start their live performances were improvisations, played with a rather reduced technical setup of analogue drum machines and sound generators. Even though between 1993 and 2003 their paths separated for over 10 years, when re-connecting their equipment at "Mutek.cl" in 2003, it was as if no time had passed by at all, and their improvisations continued ever since then. Some of Atom™ & Tobias' live performances were released, such as the 1992 "Elektroniikkaa" EP and the "Vol 2 & 3" EPs on "Logistic Records" for example, however though, their main thing has always been the live performance itself, in which a flow of consciousness crystallizes in real time, while both musicians and the audience enter in mutual resonance. New heights were reached when some of their improvisations expanded up to 5 hours ("Lunar Lodge", Boulder or "Cellar", Santiago) and a 3 hour set left everybody at awe during the 2013 "Labyrinth" festival in Japan.
rEAGENZ aka Move D & Jonah Sharp-
(the German word for “test-tube”) is a collaboration between Jonah Sharp (Space Time Continuum) and David Moufang aka Move D (and half of Deep Space Network).
They recorded the first album, entitled “Reagenz” in both San Francisco and David’s native Heidelberg, Germany in 1994 after meeting before an early Autechre show in San Francisco. A mutual respect of each others record labels (David runs the excellent Source Records) and similarities in their approach to music making led to the pair collaborating and Reagenz was born. Recorded entirely on analog synths and sequenced without a computer, the album was released on both Reflective and Source Records and was immediately met with enthusiasm throughout the global electronic music community. In May 2008 they met up again, having not seen each other for 13 years, in Tokyo (coincidentally at an Autechre show!) and managed to spend four productive days in a studio owned by a Japanese analog synth collector which was packed with vintage synths and the like. They did another session in Heidelberg in Aug 2008 and performed their live debut at the Free Rotation Festival in the UK which managed to bring their new album to near completion.
‘2014’s The Periodic Table is a 75-minute set recorded at The Bunker's tenth anniversary party in 2013. It's separated into six tracks that take their names from elemental symbols. Reaganz live sets are hardware-intensive, and it shows—the music, which progresses more as a single improvised piece rather than a series of songs, is rich, resonant and occasionally dense. But even in its most sonically packed moments, there's room for small details to stream in and out of the mix. Sharpe and Moufang have been working together on and off for two decades, and they've developed an innate sense of where the other is going when they perform. The overall sound gently sways between Detroit-tinged techno, more acidic passages and billowing ambience, all anchored by a Roland TR-909 and a 606. But the flow is subtle—the effect is like drifting in and out of a dream while afloat on a gently bobbing sea. ‘

Derek Plaslaiko-
There's nothing wrong with modesty. But some DJs are too modest, and Derek Plaslaiko is one of them. As someone that has thrived in some of the most competitive scenes for electronic music in the world, he has plenty to brag about.
Plaslaiko cut his teeth in Detroit at the city's famed Record Time store, selling records to some of the city's famed DJs and producers. He took these retail experiences—Watts and Syntax were employers as well, once upon a time—and applied them to his fledgling DJ career, earning a residency at the Tuesday night weekly Family. Filling the city's Motor club on an unlikely party night is no mean feat, but Plaslaiko's keen selections and infectious energy won over the house heads in the audience. So much so that Plaslaiko was asked by Carl Craig to play at the inaugural edition of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, as well as representing Spectral Sound around the world without ever having released a track on the label.
Eventually, Plaslaiko moved on to New York City where he quickly found himself another residency at The Bunker. As part of one of the most respected Friday night events in the city, Plaslaiko has played alongside Daniel Bell, Marcel Dettmann, Baby Ford, Alex Smoke and countless others, and even was named "Best Techno Party DJ" by The Village Voice in 2006. It was in New York as well that Plaslaiko first began to produce music, leading to his debut release in 2010 on Perc Trax, a 12-inch that was played by DJs like Peter Van Hoesen, Pfirter and Paul Woolford upon its release. Now based in Berlin, more tracks are in the works and the DJ gigs keep piling up. As we said, there's plenty to brag about. Not that he'd do it himself that is.

MIKE SERVITO-
Mike Servito is from a very special yet temporary and partially lost fertile crescent of techno / house / party DJing. It was a time when raves were still a fresh idea, almost felt like a revolution, and DJs like Claude Young, D Wynn, Derrick Carter and Mike Huckaby were informing an upcoming generation. If you look directly to that inspired generation you will find the lost threads of Detroit Techno, House and beyond, you will find a group of DJs with insanely deep mixing skills, the ability to rock almost any kind of party with an improvisational approach that is so skilled it makes everything seem so well thought out that even they don't know where their set will go. But, it will take you there! In the future, this special generation of deep midwest mixers will be remembered and revered as the wizards they are, long after the trendy players have lost their luster.
Detroit never forgot about Mike Servito, his upfront dirty deep and bitchy taste has had an impact on Detroit nightlife for over a decade. From debuting in 1995 at Dat's Poorboy parties, to being a resident at blackbx and Ghostly's Untitled (along with Derek Plaslaiko, Tadd Mullinix, Matthew Dear, and Ryan Elliott), contributing to the bizarrely popular, wild and free Dorkwave, and progressing that concept into Sass (the hippest queer party in Detroit at the time), to blowing minds at Interdimensional Transmissions' No Way Back parties, Servito has made his impression.
Bryan Kasenic-
Bryan Kasenic (pka Spinoza) is known in the electronic music world for throwing The Bunker, playing adventurous DJ sets, and starting Beyond, his own booking agency. The past few years have seen Bryan take his infamous Brooklyn-based party, The Bunker, to Panorama Bar in Berlin, Corsica Studios in London, Unsound Festival in Krakow, Communikey Festival in Boulder, Decibel Festival in Seattle, Smartbar in Chicago, GAFFTA in San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and of course Detroit. In January 2014, The Bunker celebrated it's 11th Anniversary and launched a record label.
D'Marc Cantu-
D’Marc Cantu started working on what would later be known as JakBeat in late 2000 after being introduced to Ghostly alum JTC. In keeping with the raw sounds that he's known for D’Marc uses analog gear, meticulously gathered samples and crafty production work to further define JakBeat, a sound that encompasses the emotion and simplicity of early electronica but does not limit itself to just one genre.
Oscar P OpenBar-
Oscar P is recognized as an innovator and force in New York City's music scene. His musical style fuses influences from NYC, Chicago and Detroit; creating a unique sound that can be heard on his productions. Operating 4 record labels which include Open Bar Music, HEAVY and Afro Rebel Music; Oscar P recently acquired Kolour Recordings: the famed Detroit deep house label which he runs with his wife Jessica, and long time friends Mr. and Mrs Bumpy Nuggets.
Craft-
Born in NYC, Craft bought his technics 1200's & Vestax mixer at age 14 with his own life savings in 1994. He taught himself the skill of beat matching and studied the art of blending tracks smoothly to perfection with persistence. He began producing music in 1999 under the name "Craft". He performs regularly in the NYC underground techno scene for his established Twice as Proper techno events and at international showcase events and festivals. He evolved from the Vinyl-only days to CDj’s of all types, and also performs with live layers of effects with controllers.
Craft co-created the NYC techno movement "Twice as Sweet" with his partner Shadi in 2007. It was later renamed "Twice as Proper" and has reached over 250 events with an illustrious list of over 120 guest DJ bookings in the past 7 years in venues accross Manhattan, Brooklyn and internationally in Playa del Carmen and Mexico City.
Dani Lehman-
As you walk into a dark room, the bass is booming and you are instantly hypnotized from the eerie yet sophisticated rhythm. In the moment, you look up at the DJ booth to see a sly smile peering out over the crowd. Without warning you've already begun your journey with Dani Lehman. Dani recently shared the stage with Chris Liebing NYC where she's called home and is relocating in 2015 to her home city of Miami with her signature sound.
Andrew S.-
Andrew is the fearless leader of Dirty Epic. Andrew's made 2015 a signature year so far- playing alongside Monoloc in Los Angeles, at a festival in Milwaukee, in Denver alongside Speedy J and in Brooklyn. This will be Andrew's first time playing in Detroit despite over a decade behind the decks.
Spin D-
Also known as Fiona Walsh, Spin D has been playing for about 5 years. What started out as a hobby quickly became a passion especially for the darker side of techno.
Originally from Ireland, now based in NYC she's
played for Momentum, Trilogy (opening for Kevin Saunderson), Twice as Proper, Motive, Tech Soul at National Underground, Stay, Erratic and Aphotic. She has been a guest on Electronicrhythm.com, Vector Radio
