NSO Handlebars for the Homeless is a guided bike tour that will highlight Detroit's hidden treasures. The tour will begin and end at the NSO Bell Building at 882 Oakman Blvd. in Detroit (former historic Michigan Bell Building). The approximately 17-mile tour will take cyclist through some of Detroit's most beautiful ares including the University of Detroit-Mercy campus, Sherwood Forest and Boston Edison and Palmer Park neighborhoods as well as the Live6 Alliance area.
Since H4H is a tour, not a race, it is perfect for for team participation. This is a great opportunity to build employee morale and team spirit, view the city from a new perspective with co-workers, friends and family and support an organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in our community.
Teams can also take advantage of special Team registration fees based on the size of the Team. To form a Team you will need foru or more co-workers, friends, family or service group members and a designated Team Captain. The Team Captain will register your Team Name with NSO and distribute the registration information to Team Members.
Team Registration (All Teams must register by July 22)
Teams of 10 or more @ $25 per person
Teams of 4-10 @ $30 per person
Individual Registration
$35 per person - Register by July 22
$40 per person - After July 22 and onsite
All participants will receive a NSO Handlebars for the Homeless high-performance T-shirt and refreshments, as well as SAG (Support & Gear) throughout the tour.
Please note that all participants must wear a bike helmet. All cyclists must be 14 years of age or older at the time of the event. All cyclists under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event.
