as some of you may know we have recently returned from the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota volunteering with the Sacred Stone Camp.
We will be presenting some footage from our experience at Standing Rock and help present some issues being faced there and also explain some of the reasons we believe this to be a pivitol moment for Indigenous culture standing up for our Mother Earth & giving solidarity to our movement across the entire globe.
We will be following the presentation with a film about Indiginous treaties throughout history in the United States called the Canary Effect released about 10 years ago is still as relevant and enjoyable to watch as when it first won awards at the Traverse City Film Festival, the Stanley Kubrick Award. American Indian Motion Picture awards, Tribeca Film Festival and Native Spirit Festival in the U.K.
