An authentically Detroit celebration of the LGBT community, Motor City Pride attracts some 40,000 people each year. Motor City Pride is held in downtown Detroitâs Hart Plaza typically in early June, the second Saturday and Sunday of the month. A celebration of southeastern Michiganâs LBGT community and, really, the rest of the world, the eventâs centerpiece is a parade as well as a street festival, complete with food, vendors and entertainment. The parade starts at Griswold and Fort streets, and heads down Griswold to Jefferson, ending at Hart Plaza.
