ICON Detroit was established in February 1993 by six friends with a keen interest in Leathermen and the S/M subculture. The “original 6," that are known today as our founding fathers; Kevin, Larry, Michael, Eric, Buck, and ALLEYCAT had thought about joining other clubs. Instead, they started ICON Detroit. Learning about the leather world through living it turned out to be one of their best decisions ever. They're still "instigating" fun, educating others, fundraising for charities and helping people in need in the local community.
