Leave your girls at home

This club is prejudice against women. The owner made it his business to charge women a $20 cover to get in. Most gay men have a female friend that they hang out with and most women are not gonna pay $20 to sit there while her buddy has a ball (ha) and all she can do is drink. It is totally ridiculous. Now the rainbow community is prejudice, wow! It's not like we wanna sit there and fondle the dancers, there aren't even dancers on the other side so what is the problem.... They are woman bashers. Thumbs down!

Mixed Review

I gotta say that this place is in the WORST area possible. Each time I go I drive fast, run all the lights, and am looking around for anyone hiding in the shadows! That said, once you get inside you forget the neighborhood. I was there last 8/6 and the dancers were MUCH better than last time ( about a year ago). One even had chest hair! (You don't see that often) They are a bit pushy for private dances and some of the dancers are pretty much off the street, but if you choose correctly you can get a great private dance. Yes, it not THAT private, but who cares. I had two dances...Jeff (I think) was fabulous! Hot, very interactive, etc. The second, Lorenzo, just put himself on top of me and moved his ass. If you've been to Swinging Richard's in Atlanta, this is the smaller/sleazier version, but with MUCH more reasonable rates. Private dance at SR...$40 to get in the private room, plus another $100 or so, plus tip for 15 min. At GC $20 gets you a song. Do the math. I'll stop by GC anytime I'm in Detroit!

No Gold on this Horizon

All I have to say is seedy, seedy, seedy. Club Gold Coast--the area that it's in is horrific, just getting out of the car in the parking lot I thought I had to dodge bullets. There is valet parking in the barb-wire fenced in parking lot in front of the club, or if the club is packed you can "trust" the valet to put it in the parking lot across the street. Walking in, an older looking woman takes five dollars for cover. The bar is shrouded in darkness. The drinks are cheap, but bland. The dancers are somewhat hot, but I wouldn't get a dance from someone that snorts rails off the floor in the dressing room. The music is the thing that made me go a few more times. They play the best music. The dance floor is moderately sized, with a fully operating shower right in the middle so the strippers can bathe for the perverts. The crowd ranges from 18 to 60. The patio is alright, but I felt like I was in prison with the barbed wire hanging over me. There is another section of the bar that has pool, and gambling games, and a dark lap dance section in the back. Overall, if you are craving meth and a lap dance, Gold Coast is the place for you.

Darker atmosphere makes you feel comfortable

While some may find upon first entering that this is not really a dance club, it is definitely a place to go if you like to see strippers. They have two sides to the club. The "entrance-side" is darker and looks a little bit older in style but the crowd is very different from night to night. All-in-all, the excitement of this place is that you never know what to expect when you walk in. The drinks are reasonable becuase most of the bartenders know how to be courteous and how to make drinks that you feel are "good for the money." This isn't a bar to take people to "impress" so to speak, but it serves its purpose, something different in the line of "bars/clubs," because they do have a dance-floor, it's just a matter of how many people get out there and dance to the songs. Best night is Tuesday followed by Sundays. Cover is cheap. 18 and up. Dangerous area I might add, probably better to valet than to park if you're not familiar with this area. :)

Great Place..Hot Boys !!

I go every year I'm in town and the dancers are hot! Now, if they only stop asking you if you want a "private dance" that's not so private, that would be great. And some of the boys need to get rid of their granny panties. Come on boys. It's 2009 and under gear is easy ordering!!!
