Due to our concern for the safety of our participants we have decided on a last minute change to this year's Take Back the Night marching route.
WE WILL NO LONGER BE STARTING FROM THE WELCOME CENTRE OR THE WINDSOR YOUTH CENTRE.
Please meet at Dieppe Park at 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, 2014 where we will rally together and march the streets of Windsor to reclaim the streets, reclaim our voices, and reclaim the night!
Following the march we will gather at the Foundry Pub located at 495 Ouellette Ave (this has not changed), where we will hear more from our keynote speaker, Holly Painter, and local spoken word artists. We will also ej
There is construction along Wyandotte St E, where our east end marchers had been set to take back our streets. We do not want to put any one's safety in jeopardy and recognize that the torn up streets could present a barrier for people with various (dis)abilities. Therefore, we will be gathering all together at a single site (Dieppe Park, located at the riverfront at Ouellette Ave and Riverside Dr) at 7:00 pm, as we have done in previous years.
We understand that this may cause some confusion, so please spread the word and contact us with any questions!
See you on Saturday, September 27, 2014 as we aim to 'end the silence and stop the violence'!!
